Well, the forecast said it was going to be 11 degrees when we started, and then it was supposed to warm up from there. Ha! This is Calgary! As we prepared our bikes in the parking lot, we felt a biting cold wind and the temperature ranged between 1 and 2 degrees, not counting the wind chill.
But we EVCC'ers are tough and although a couple of people turned back due to the unexpected cold, 7 hardy mountain bikers continued and enjoyed a great fall ride on the hill, riding the ravines and staying in the trees a good amount of time to avoid the wind. We could see a big patch of blue sky but it never quite arrived on Nose Hill. However, the sound of riding through leaves on the trails and the comradery of happy cyclists made for a special ride!
