This ride for those prone to catastrophic thinking could be described as event free. Once everyone arrived at the launch site we left on time, there were no mechanical issues, no flats, and save for one participant who departed early as expected we all returned happy to partake in the socially distanced après ride gathering. The sun shone, the breeze blew gently with only a few minutes of noticeable speed to remind us that we were riding in early spring. A port-a-potty was conveniently found about two thirds of the way through the ride for those who wished to utilize this comfort station.
The only issue was parking. A couple of the local residents expressed concern that vehicles were pulled off the road surface so that that the passenger side tires were on the grass and in the past some vehicles had caused divots. The location is less than ideal anyway since the gathering took the shape of a flattened oval since the grass was still wet from thawing snow.
I look forward to a season of fabulous rides.
