Tuesday Tuneup Pursuit Challenge - Adv - HeatherOpseth

Start time: 6 p.m. to be back before sunset (~8 p.m. on Sept 8). 

For our season finale, we will taking on the Tuesday Tuneup Pursuit Challenge. This adds a spicy edge of fun and friendly competition to our usual ride format. There will be treats and socializing in the parking lot at the end of the ride. 

How it works:

In the pursuit challenge, the "C" group starts first. "B" and "A" groups have delayed starts, AND must travel extra distance while chasing the groups in front of them. Who will get back to the parking lot first???

Schedule:

• 6 p.m.: Group C starts regular route. Total distance: 44 km.
  
• 6:03 p.m.: Group B starts. They must follow C's route PLUS climb an extra hill and take a detour around Lariat Loop. Total distance: 47.5 km.
  
• 6:06 p.m.: Group A starts. They must follow B's route PLUS complete an extra loop in Springbank Heights. Total distance: 50 km.
  

The big question on everyone's mind: Will there be a photo finish at the end? 

Apres-ride: We will celebrate a successful season with treats and socializing back at the parking lot.

Level: For advanced/experienced road riders, must be comfortable with paceline riding.

Distance: 44-50 km

Pace - 3 groups: 

• Group A - 33-35 kph
• Group B - 30-33 kph
• Group C - 27-30 kph
