This is a challenging ride from Banff to Lake Louise for advanced cyclists who have plenty of kilometres in their legs and have already completed a few 100+ km rides this season.

We will ride the scenic Highway 1A between Banff and Lake Louise. The road is open to vehicle traffic and riders are required to ride single file at all times.

Stops will be limited to maintain a steady pace. We will have a regrouping stop at Johnston Canyon and then stop for lunch in Lake Louise Village (after the climb to Moraine Lake).

Air quality: The forecast AQHI is 3–5, from low to moderate risk. Smoke conditions may change during the day.

Safety: Consider bringing bear spray, along with plenty of food and water and tools for minor repairs. Cell service is unavailable on parts of the route. If you run into trouble, you can use the Roam Bus to return to Banff.

Parking is at the Banff Train Station Public Parking Lot located at 327 Railway Avenue. This is free parking, with a 9-hour limit. See: https://banff.ca/trainstation

PLEASE do not park at the lot right at the train station. This is the overflow lot. We will meet in the main parking area to the east of the traffic circle.
