Level: Advanced

Distance: 110 km

Pace: 25-27 kph - depending on number of participants, we will split into smaller groups of varying speeds. Let me know if you're interested in leading an advanced+ group. 

Elevation Gain: 900 m

E-Bikes allowed:  No 

Meeting place/parking:  All road rides start/finish at Madden Community Centre

Route: Celebrate summer with this winding tour through the most stunning canola farm fields of this area. You will also get scenic mountain views riding north/south on highway 766.

Coffee stop: As a special treat, we will stop at the Vintage Coffee Bar in Didsbury for a mid-morning snack and opportunity to refill water bottles. 

We will aim to finish between 1:30 and 2 p.m. -- perfect timing to join the apres-ride social at the Madden Golf Club. 

Route notes: Some country roads have rougher surfaces and/or very narrow shoulders. We will reach highway 22 (western edge of route) early in the morning when it has quieter traffic. Highway 2A southbound (eastern edge of route) can get busy traffic, but has a nice wide shoulder.

Apres-ride social: Join us after the ride for social at the Madden Golf Club patio where you can purchase refreshments and snacks at the Club House.
