Description:  This ride ascends the highest paved road in Canada from the South winter gate -- the route is fully closed to cars until June 15. Tailgate social after the ride, weather and time permitting. Please come prepared with clothing for mountain weather conditions. We will be gaining significant elevation -- even on a nice day, it will be colder higher up and the long descent can be very chilly. Also be bear aware as they are out and a warning has been issued by Alberta Parks.

Parking: Start from Highwood House junction on Highway 541, West of Longview. Park on the side of the highway not at the General Store.

Try to REGROUP AT THE GATE - there may be a crowd
