Spring Spin #5: Cochrane/Grand Valley/Horse Creek, Int, 67km, 500m, LyleOpseth

Save the dates. There are hints of warm weather around Sun/Mon/Tues (April 19,20,21) in the 14 day forecast. The ride and date will be finalized closer to this date (as there is still uncertainty in the forecast) at which time registration will open.

Description:

Another warm April spring day is forecast and it's another chance to do some early-season cycling outdoors on the bike. As this is spin #5 and as many cyclists are preparing for upcoming cycling events and trips we will continue with a longer ride.

Cyclists wishing a shorter ride can skip the spur (pig tail) going north from township road 280 at 23.5 km, shortening the ride by approximately 17 km. 

We will stop to regroup at major intersections.

There are no formal food stops.

There is a proper washroom at the start/end at Mitford Park and picnic tables but no facilities on the ride.

After the ride we can have a tailgate party at Mitford Park or go to one of the popular Cochrane coffee stops (e.g., Good Earth, Coffee Traders).
