Coordinator:   Mike Wingham
Distance:  46km
Cumulative Elevation Gain:  450m (RWGPS 500m is wrong)
Type of Ride:  Intermediate gravel ride on 33km gravel, 12km clay, 1km paved.
Effort-wise, this ride is about equivalent to a 70km road ride with 700m climbing.
Type of Bike:  Recommended is a bike with at least 38mm-wide treaded tires and low range climbing gears, e.g. gravel bike, mountain bike, or eBike versions thereof.  If you'll be on pedals that require shoe cleats, the shoes should be MTB-style with the cleat recessed into the tread, since you may end up walking a bit.
Anticipated Pace:  15-18 km/hr overall, slower uphill, faster downhill and on pavement.
Duration:  3-4 hours total, 2½-3 hours moving time
We will regroup at all intersections or every 30 minutes.  No one will be left behind.

PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO START TIME TO GET YOU AND YOUR BIKE READY

Park on the N side of TR274 just E of Lochend Rd, across from the mailboxes.

Quiet route along rolling hills, fields, and ponds. Gravel with some dirt, and only 1.5km of pavement.  For more details, check out the RWGPS route and embedded photos.  Note that some of the photos show why doing this route when wet is not a good idea!
