Viking Voyage: Icelandic Creamery and Danish History, Int, 61k, 245m, RichardThorpe

A variation on Christine's ride to the Danish Museum, with a bonus tour of historic Markerville.

We ride from Spruce View north and east to Markerville, a town full of historical sites including the CREAMERY where an ice cream snack is optional.

We then backtrack to Spruce View and south to Dickson, the tip of Glennifer Lake, and across the dam for a photo op.

Backtracking again we make a brief stop at the Dickson Store, then on to the DANISH CANADIAN MUSEUM.

At the Museum we are treated to a lovely garden setting with a pond, various building, and even a replica of a Viking ship.  Those who wish can have lunch from the SAGA CAFE`MENU.  I have booked a buffet lunch, which includes a beverage and desert, for about $20-25, so please let me know when you register if you want to participate in that, or bring your own lunch.

Full of our lunch, we have a short ride back to Spruce View.

As we will be riding on country roads, a bright flashing tail light is recommended.
