Surface: Gravel with a short paved section

This route is half rail trail and half gravel-enhanced single track, formerly part of the Trans Canada Trail.

Please be aware that this a gravel route suitable for a bike with at least 35mm tires.

This rail trail loop that is shorter than going all the way to Wardner which would be 106 km with 1260m of elevation gain return. Instead we ride a more modest route at only 35 km. Anyone wishing to do the long out and back to Wardner is more than welcome, just let the ride coordinator know.

Park/meet off Stahl Road on the NE side of Cranbrook.
