Description:  

This ride ascends the highest paved road in Canada and this is a day that is forecast to be warm and sunny. The anticipated high at Highwood Pass should be in the low 20s!

As of June 1st, the road north of the pass is closed to cyclists as well as cars due to the G7 meaning we can cycle up to the pass from the south but must turn around (no more gate-to-gate-to-gate).

We can have a tailgate social after the ride, weather and time permitting.

Despite the forecast, please come prepared with clothing for mountain weather conditions--you just never know. The temperature is typically 10C colder than is found at valley bottom.

Parking: Start from Highwood House junction on Highway 541, West of Longview. Park on the side of the highway not at the General Store. Meet at the closed gate.
