CANCELLED DUE TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND ENVIRONMENT CANADA THUNDERSTORM WATCH ISSUED UNTIL 10 PM

Pace:  ~27 kph; group riding in paceline format, staying together on flatter sections; ride at your own pace on hill climbs, regrouping at the top

Elevation Gain: 600 m

Summer solstice this week (June 20)! Sun doesn't set until 10 p.m.! Let's make the most of it with an extended ride in Springbank. 

With a longer ride, we can cover some more hills! We'll do Escarpment, Emerald Bay, Springbank Heights, and Springbank Airport Road. Ending with a nice scenic winding route back to the parking lot. 

There is a very short 600 m section of hard-packed gravel on this route. Very doable on a road bike, however, if you're uncomfortable you can avoid it by going the other way around. 

Sunset social! Bring your lawn chair, blanket, and munchies for a tailgate social. While in days gone by you may have partied til the sun came up... this time we will party til the sun goes down!  :) 

Parking spot is the Eden Brook Funeral Home, off Lower Springbank Road (see route map for exact location).
