Description:
Another warm spring day is forecast and it's another chance to get off our trainers and do some easy-paced early-season spinning on the bike to get ready for the serious riding to come. This is a ride meant for early season intermediate cyclists. But, as this is the third ride, there will be more elevation and a few steeper hills. (This is Calgary of course and it's hard to have a variety of interesting limited elevation rides.)
This is a follow-up ride to the Dunbow and Priddis Spring Spin rides.
The group will stop at major intersections to regroup and to give our legs occasional rest breaks (as this is an early season ride).
There are no public washroom or food/water facilities on this ride.
After the ride, we can tailgate in the funeral home parking lot.
Safety:
Short gravel sections suitable for road bikes. Gravel on edges of roads and at intersections as it's spring and the roads are not swept yet. There is a pathway ride that goes around the permiter of the Harmony golf course. Sharp descent into Springbank Heights.
