This event is designed to get you stronger as a climber. Soon those great rides in the mountains will be available as will our club's well known Golden Triangle 3-day event. Completing one of these rides will help you to prepare with the convenience of these routes being close to Calgary.

If you are wanting to extend your stats for this ride to go over both 100 kilometres traveled and 1.5 metres of climbing, I suggest the following:

Once you reach the south end of 112 Street, ( about 54 kilometres ridden ) turn right at this T intersection and ride west  to the intersection of 192 St. W.  Turn around here and climb back to 112 Street west, turn left  and continue north on the route as the map indicates.

This will add 6.5 km and 55 m for a total of 101 km for distance and 1550 m of climbing. You can then use the term Gran Plus" in your records.

Meeting Location:

Red Deer Lake United Church 

Please park in the south portion so that church goers can have access to the church entrance. There are no washrooms on site.

NOTE: It is important that you know the route you've chosen since all three routes do have some portions covering the same roadway and other riders following a different course may confuse you. Using the RwGPS app makes the ride more pleasurable since this app does all the route finding and displays it on a map as well as providing audio announcements of upcoming turns.
