Meeting place/parking:
The starting point is Heritage Pointe Soccer Fields- Access along Dunbow Road, either west from the Deerfoot or east from Highway 2A. Kindly use this area for parking: https://goo.gl/maps/mM6gToZwe5yb6oU39

Notes:
- because we will be on roads with narrow or no shoulder a bright flashing tail light is recommended.
- climbing gears and descending skills will be useful. (See elev. profile below.)
- the route has been modified from the original posting because some construction has been completed. The map below is traced for cues/prompts if you care to download to your device. But please use an earbud or keep the sound off.
We will ride west to the "Old Road to Nepal." Near the top we go left and climb some more to the Leighton Art Center, where we break for lunch.
The view from the top, baring clouds or smoke, is amazing! There is an art museum/store, and we will take time for some browsing if anyone is interested.
There no food available at Leighton, so plan to bring your lunch. Also, this is the only washroom along the route.
(Please help me remember, we walk our bikes across the lawns at Leighton.)
We return by dropping down a long steep road that very briefly joins the New Road to Nepal, then we go by a loop to the south and back to the start.
Apres-ride social: Meet at the Stockman's restaurant & lounge for after the ride social.
