Five days/Four nights Hub and Spoke with optional  easy and intermediate rides.

Cycling:

The Shuswap area presents lovely riding opportunities through a variety of terrain, from lakes to farmland to forests, all paved and with low volume traffic. The area offers over 1500 km of paved back roads so there are many riding options. Rides will leave from various locations in the region so a vehicle is required for bike and rider transport. See below for event cycling routes.

Beach activities:

Sorrento Center has its own private beach access on Shuswap Lake. Why not bring your swimwear and take a dip after a long day on the saddle? Or bring your Kayak, Paddleboard, or boat to explore the lake on a hot day.

Please note the following:

  • Daily morning meetings at the lounge to discuss the days routes/leaders.
  • Ride coordinators are needed! Please let us know if you are able to lead (or co-lead) or sweep a ride or two.
  • BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION IMMEDIATELY TO GET GREATEST CHOICE. Reservations will be accepted by the Sorrento Centre as of Tuesday, April 2, 2024. EVCC has booked the entire Richardson Lodge, capacity is limited to 25 in the main lodge. Cabins, Apartments as well as Camping facilities are also available on site; we will be providing a list of all registrants to the Sorrento Center at that time to ensure a room is available to you.
  • Accommodation bookings are made directly with the Sorrento Centre and options include camping and RV sites. Meals are available and need to be booked with the Sorrento center. This year a continental breakfast is included with your stay consisting of Oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, pastries and fruit.
  • Social hour before dinner.  Sorrento Center serves dinner at 5:00pm so a light snack after the ride is all that is needed.

Trip Fee:  The cost of the event is $45.00 which includes a non-refundable $35.00 for holding your spot and for related coordinators costs which include fuel, accommodation and meals.

The remaining money is for our daily group social hour snacks which will be set out in the lounge after each ride. Any surplus will be returned to the participants.

Registration fee does not include transportation, accommodation or meals. This trip is open to EVCC members only.
