Columbia Valley Mountain Biking with Roy. Easy to moderate.

The plan is to arrive in the Fairmont area August 15, ride August 16, 17, 18, and leave August 19. I have two condos booked and spoken for in Fairmont for the period. We can gather there in the evenings if it's central. I haven't looked for other accomodation but let me know if you need ideas.

Riding will be easy to intermediate, 15-25 km per day, slow to moderate, up to 200 m climbing per day.

The Spirit Trails (https://www.trailforks.com/region/columbia-lake-14692/) are easy. They can be ridden from Columbia Lake Provincial Park or Canal Flats or ridden all the way the way through with a car shuttle. The northern half of the trails are more interesting single track than the double-tracks of the southern part. Columbia Lake Provincial Park isn't heavily used. It does not have direction signs from the highway because the road is substandard. It's not rough, it's narrow and immediately beside the river. To ride from the park south to the inlet on the east side of the lake is a highlight of riding easy trails in the valley, and I would encourage everyone to spend a day in this area.

The Lillian Lake trails (https://www.trailforks.com/region/lillian-lake/) are easy to intermediate.

The Deja View (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/canada/british-columbia/deja-view-and-old-coach-trail-loop) trail is a super-easy trail.

The Markin-MacPhail Westside Legacy Trail (https://ourtrail.org/) is a paved path that goes from Fairmont to Invermere.

The valley is hot. If it's 30 degrees in Calgary it'll be 35 there. So be ready for that.
