Coordinator:  Maria Saley

Type of Ride:  MTB, Intermediate, moderate but steady pace

Distance:  33 km

Elevation:  550 m

Join us for a ride by Barrier Lake in Kananaskis.    Note the early start to  try and beat the crowds.  We will park at the Barrier Dam parking and then ride across the dam and along Stoney trail almost  to the road up to Nakiska, then turn back through the woods and have lunch by the water or a less buggy spot if necessary.   We will then return and hook up with the same way we came.   The trail is mostly old doubletrack road, with a few steep and rocky parts and there is some easy singletrack as well.   Nice views of Barrier Lake.

Must have a Mountain bike in good condition, helmet, water, bear spray.  Bug spray recommended.  Bring something to eat at our lunch stop.   Weather can be changeable so be prepared.

Please arrive early to be ready to roll at 8:30.
