Suitable for: beginners and never ever riders

Coordinator: Gordon Jones

A fun Mountain Bike event for Never-ever and beginner riders in a network of trails that are fun and approachable for all.

Interested in mountain biking but intimidated by technical skills and high consequence falls? Come and try, or come and work on some skills in a low consequence and progression friendly environment. In this network of trails there is a flat 1k loop, 7 gravity management features, and 7 progression wood features including a ladder bridge, ground level skinny, A frame and two teeter-totters.

We will have a brief talk about topics such as bike set up, safety considerations, equipment tips, riding positions and balance, flat and bermed cornering, climbing, and descending. Then we'll have lots of chances to practice skills on easy terrain. This area is suitable for any bikes from hybrids to any type of mountain bike. There is also a bike rental spot nearby - Sports Rent on 16th ave that you could rent a Mountain Bike from if you'd like.

On the day we will meet in front of the ball diamond at the South end of Foundations for the Future School on Mackay Rd NW, opposite the address in the location. The google maps link is here.

Please be ready to go at 8:00 so we can get started on time. If you have any questions please email.
