Grand tour of the lakes, canals and new neighborhoods of Airdrie using the city’s extensive pathway system. No hills.
Route. From Genesis Place, ride around East Lake; then head south through Meadowbrook, Ravenswood and King’s Heights. Ride west, then north on the Nose Creek pathway, passing through Nose Creek Park, Ridgegate, Station Crossing, and Willow Brook. Travel west, then circle south through Reunion, Williamstown, and Woodside. Next, ride through the lake and canal district: Sagewood, Canals, and Bayside. Explore the south of Airdrie: Prairie Springs, Hillcrest and Coopers Crossing. Travel north along Luxstone’s border. Turn east through Edgewater back to Genesis Place.
Location: Genesis Place. Directions: Drive north on the Queen Elizabeth Hwy, take East Lake exit (the one after Yankee Valley Blvd.), drive onto East Lake Crescent a short distance into the Genesis parking lot, near the north entrance.
- The system will notify the event and open it for registration two weeks beforehand.
- The ride will have a sweep, and regrouping as necessary.
- Bring lunch, snacks, and water.
- Bring a mask, gloves, and sanitizer in case of a flat, accident, or use of a washroom.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start.
