Glenmore Inn to Ralph Klein Park 38
Coordinator: Peter Bradbury
This is a good energetic ride. The route starts at Glenmore Inn; travels south on 24 Street, on both the street and a pathway, on Douglasdale Blvd, and Mt. Mackenzie Drive; turns east to visit Inverness and New Brighton; and issues onto a long pathway heading north across wetlands, home to ducks and other birds. The route crosses over to the Ralph Klein Park, where we can visit the Environmental Center, see the storm water drainage system and an orchard, and have a picnic lunch. Next, the route goes north and hooks into the Irrigation Canal pathway heading west to Glenmore Inn, where we can have a coffee.
The ride will have regrouping at intervals, corner guiding if necessary, and a sweep. Bring lunch. Bring your route tracking device for more enjoyment, and the possibility of leading this ride or a good variant next year.
Location: Glenmore Inn parking lot. Directions: Drive east on Glenmore Trail, turn left at the Ogden Rd. exit. Please arrive 15 minutes before start.
