Grand tour of the lakes, canals and new neighborhoods of Airdrie using the city’s extensive pathway system. No hills.
Route. From Genesis Place, ride around East Lake; then head south through Meadowbrook, Ravenswood and King’s Heights. Ride west, then north on the Nose Creek pathway, passing through Nose Creek Park, Ridgegate, Station Crossing, and Willow Brook. Travel west, then circle south through Reunion, Williamstown, and Woodside. Next, ride through the lake and canal district: Sagewood, Canals and Bayside. Explore the south of Airdrie: Prairie Springs, Hillcrest and Coopers Crossing. Travel north along Luxstone’s border. Turn east through Edgewater back to Genesis Place.
The ride will have regrouping at intervals, corner guiding, and a sweep. Bring lunch. Finish with coffee at Genesis Place.
Directions to location. North on Hwy 2. Take East Lake exit, one after Yankee Valley Blvd. Turn right into East Lake Crescent and Genesis Place parking lot. Please arrive 15 minutes before start.
